Billy C Boxing Contest - 22/11/2013

For TBCB's latest entry in the Boxing With Billy C fight predictions contest, we've simmed the fights listed below 100 times each. We've offered a brief summary of each fight based on the simulations, or you can read the entire summary of all the fights, which includes a lot of in-depth detail.

  • Alexander Alexeev vs. Yoan Pablo Hernandez: This one could be close, but Alexeev will prevail. He won 51 of the simulated fights, taking 27 of them by decision (20 unanimous) and 24 by stoppage (9 KOs, 15 TKOs). If the fight ends early, though, Hernandez will have the edge, since he won 29 of his 46 victories via stoppage (17 KOs, 12 TKOs), compared to 17 decisions (11 unanimous). Alexeev needed an average of 9.22 rounds for each win, compared to Hernandez's 7.87 rounds per victory.
  • Zou Shiming vs. Juan Tozcano: Shiming will cruise to an easy win, given his 97 wins out of 100. He'll very likely win by decision, though, since he did so 78 times (66 unanimous), compared to 19 stoppages (9 KOs, 10 TKOs). Tozcano didn't win a single decision.
  • Stephen Foster vs. Anthony Crolla: Foster should win handily, although he will likely do so via decision, since 45 of his 60 victories came that way (38 unanimous). When Crolla won, it was also by decision: 25 of his 34 victories ended that way (15 unanimous decisions).
  • Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Tor Hamer: Ruiz Jr. won 68 of his fights, 41 via decision (33 unanimous). If he ends the fight early, a TKO is more likely, since 21 of his 27 stoppages came that way.
  • Evgeny Gradovich vs. Billy Dib: Dib should win, since he took 56 of the simulations, although nearly all were by decision: He won 50 fights that way, 36 via unanimous decision. His average length of victory was 11.64 rounds, compared to 10.33 for Gradovich, so this one will likely go the distance.
  • Scott Quigg vs. Diego Oscar Silva: Quigg will overpower Silva, but whether or not this one ends early remains to be seen. He won 82 fights, 40 via decision (31 unanimous) and 42 through stoppage (19 KOs, 23 TKOs). Interestingly, 75% of Silvia's 16 wins were by stoppage, although 11 of the 12 stoppages were TKOs.
  • Carl Froch vs. George Groves: Froch will win easily, since he was the victor in 86 fights, 41 by decision (39 unanimous) and 45 by stoppage (16 KOs, 29 TKOs).
  • Manny Pacquiao vs. Brandon Rios: No surprise here: Pacquiao will dominate Rios and very likely end this fight early. He won 91 of the simulated matches, 65 of them via stoppages (28 KOs, 37 TKOs) that averaged 6.43 rounds each. If he has to go the distance for the win, which he did 26 times, he should earn a unanimous decision, as he did in 23 of those victories.
