Billy C Boxing Contest - 8/11/2013

For TBCB's latest entry in the Boxing With Billy C fight predictions contest, we've simmed the fights listed below 100 times each. We've offered a brief summary of each fight based on the simulations, or you can read the entire summary of all the fights, which includes a lot of in-depth detail.

  • Juan Carlos Salgado vs. Miguel Roman: Salgado should dispatch his opponent without too many problems, although he'll probably need a decision to do so: He won 58 of the 100 fights, 50 of them by decision (45 were unanimous).
  • Vyacheslav Uzelkov vs. Jaidon Codrington: Uzelkov should also handily win, having won 66 of the simulated fights. With 42 of them coming by stoppages at an average of 6.12 rounds (22 KOs and 20 TKOs) each time, he likely won't have to go the distance to win.
  • Thomas Oosthuizen vs. Ezequiel Osvaldo Maderna: Oosthuizen will be the victor, but he won't overpower his opponent. He won 56 of the simulated fights, but 32 were by decision (25 unanimous) and 24 were by stoppage (14 KOs, 10 TKOs).
  • Hekkie Budler vs. Hugo Hernan Verchelli: Verchelli will win, but it will be close: He won 50 of the fights while Budler was the victor in 40 of them. He'll likely have to win by decision, since 44 of his victories came that way. Only 27 of his decisions were unanimous, so a split decision is very possible here.
  • Dmitriy Salita vs. Gabriel Bracero: Salita should have no problem scoring an easy victory over Bracero, since he won 70 of the fights to Bracero's 27 wins. Since 54 of his wins were by decision, though, it's likely he'll have to go the distance. Of his 16 stoppages at an average of 7.19 rounds each, only 5 were knockouts.
  • Demetrius Andrade vs. Vanes Martirosyan: Andrade should win: He won 53 of the fights, compared to Martirosyan's 36 victories, but he'll likely need to go the distance to do so, since 38 of his wins were by decision. Of Andrade's decisions, though, 32 were unanimous. Among the stoppages for both fighters, very few of their wins were by knockout, so if this one ends early, look for a TKO.
  • Nonito Donaire vs. Vic Darchinyan: While Darchinyan should win, having recorded 52 victories among the 100 simulated bouts, this is still an evenly matched fight: 27 of his wins came on decisions (22 of them unanimous) while 25 were stoppages (7 KOs, 18 TKOs). Looking at Donaire's 42 wins, 19 were decisions (15 unanimous) and 23 were stoppages (7 KOs, 16 TKOs).
  • Roman Martinez vs. Miguel Angel Garcia: Look for Garcia to cruise to an easy victory: He won 66 of the fights, 43 on decisions (37 unanimous) and 23 on stoppages (10 KOs, 13 TKOs). Two-thirds of Martinez's 30 wins were by decision, and those were almost evenly split between unanimous and split decisions, so if he wants to score an upset, he'll need to do so on points.

Hugo Hernan Verchelli is not currently in the game database, so if you wish to repeat his fight yourself you can download his file from here...
